Kuala Lumpur

KL is the capital of Malaysia. It’s busy and commercialized. In the past 3 years since I’ve been back, many things has change. The biggest change is the movement of hawker stands moving from its operations out in the streets to indoor food courts inside all the malls. One of the biggest food court is FoodReplubic, found inside the Pavilion Mall. Locals are no longer eating outside in the heat, indoor A/C dining areas are preferred and soon, it will be mandatory! I find that most popular street hawkar places (Bukit Bintang) are still operating with big crowds but it is usually packed with tourists/foreigners.

Hong Kong Trip

Here are a few pictures I took in Hong Kong. It was a busy city. The night street market is extremely busy. I’ve never seen so many people everywhere we went.

Border’s Coupon Do Stack

Update: Hey hey, the double stacking is back until January 25. Go here to get the coupons!

Today my friend told me he bought a near $50 book for $20 at Boarders by stacking two coupons together. It has to be a % off coupon plus some dollar off if you spend up to a certain amount. This is truly a deal, too bad it only comes around every so often. Unfortunately, today was the last day for the $10 off. On the bright side, I’ll remind you next time it comes around!

Our Remodeled Kitchen

newkitchen1

Our kitchen project took about 4 weeks to complete. We gutted the old kitchen and updated the pipes, electrical cables and plugs, and installed new everything in our kitchen! We purchased our cabinets, vent, and faucet from E3 Kitchen and Bath and granite and marble stone from Uni Tile and Marble.  For appliances, we went chose the Jenn-Air counter depth refrigerator and Bosch convection gas range and dishwasher. The result is exactly what we had visioned.

People say kitchen remodeling is one of the biggest house project; I completely agree. Even though it only took us 4 weeks, it was 4 very long and stressful weeks, however, I would do it all over again.
